Snow Goose Hunt 2013 What's Wrong With You???

Yes I am talking to my decoys...  Yesterday I had the perfect flight line, the perfect spot, and I came home with nothing...  Initially I wasn't even going to go out.  At 5:00am the wind was gusting to 60 KM/H and the temperature was -1 Celsius.  I love snow goose hunting, but I'm not in love with snow goose hunting.  Then about 6:00am the wind dropped and I was out the door. 

I completed setting up just before dawn which was pushing it but with the cold, wet weather the geese were a little slower waking up than normal and it turned out I had lots of time. 

Then the waves started to come in.  It was unbelievable!  I have never had such a perfect spot picked out.  The setup was right on the flight line and when they saw my spread they started to circle.  There were a few that started to drop in and then...

Nothing.  They formed back up and kept heading east. 

That's when  I started talking to my decoys.  No decoys were hurt in the midst of my temper tantrum but it came close... 

The week is shaping up to be quite bust so hopefully these geese stay around until next weekend.
