Black Cloud FS Steel Snow Goose
All I can say is "Wow!". At 1635 FPS it has the bang for your buck that is needed to take down a snow goose up close or at extended ranges. I had my first opportunity to use it on a flock of geese last week and when inspecting the fallen ones you could definitely tell the usefulness of the FLITESTOPPER Steel Shot. For most of the morning I was shooting at the edge of the effective range yet it was bringing geese down with ease. Each bird had multiple entry points and when they landed they were dead, not wounded. I have always found this to be an issue with some cheaper ammunition when shooting at longer ranges.
I was also a little concerned that these shells might have a punishing kick behind them since I only use a Stevens 320 (Yes I’m cheap) but I was pleasantly surprised. Now I’m sure my shoulder would be sore after shooting two or three boxes on a morning shoot but when this starts to happen I’ll upgrade to a Benelli or Beretta shotgun to help out the felt recoil.
While Black Cloud ammo is a little more expensive than the cheaper ammo, it is worth every penny. I would rather pay a little more and have a dead animal rather than cheap ammo and wounded birds.
Try one box and you will never go back!
